I object to high density development on government land because:
8 storey buildings in Cherrybrook is inappropriate and over development.
Our
leafy & serene suburbs, beautiful landscapes with bountiful blue
skylines will be turned into concrete jungles, over populated, congested
roads, overcrowded schools/ playing fields, stressed infrastructure and
amenities.
High density developments destroy great suburbs with negative impacts on existing residents’ quality of life.
It
sets a dangerous precedent, forcing some existing residents to sell
their homes for fear of being blocked out by high rise buildings on
government land and eventually, the wider precinct.
If we must accept some form of development on government land, then:
It must be appropriate development.
Our quality of life must never be compromised.
Development on government land must be limited to three storeys - medium density.
Development must be in character with the local area.
Private land, external to the government land, must retain its low-density zoning.
Wholistic
infrastructure, roads, schools, playing fields, car parking and all
other amenities must be in place before development starts.
Your Entire household over the age of 18 can also have their say!
Local Democracy at work!
This high-density development will be the beginning of the end for the Beauty of our Suburbs!
