Macquarie Street remains closed to general traffic between Church and Harris streets (local access only). Smith and Charles streets are open at Macquarie Street with partial lane closures. Visit the weekly works schedule or changed traffic conditions for the latest updates. Phillip Lane Creative Lighting Council recently invited the community to vote on a preferred lighting concept to transform Phillip Lane in the Parramatta CBD. The winning concept ‘Burra burawa burring gili’ (eel above countless generations of starlight) by Cundall Light4 represents the area’s Indigenous heritage and will inspire future activation of the laneway.
