Welcome to the January edition of ePULSE. I am honoured to have been elected as the City’s new Lord Mayor. I would like to thank my fellow Councillors for placing their trust in me. I look forward to serving our community and helping our City navigate through challenging times. Council is doing its best to ensure our services and programs continue to operate with minimal interruptions, in a COVID-safe way. This month there are many activities and events happening including Katie Noonan’s show The Sweetest Taboo at Riverside Theatres, new fitness programs for people of all ages and a special Harry Potter trivia session. It’s great to see businesses back from a well-deserved break and people out and about again in Parramatta. However, I am mindful of the challenges businesses continue to face due to COVID-19. Please be assured that the City of Parramatta will continue to do what we can to support businesses throughout this time. We ask the community to be patient due to the pandemic, and to continue to proceed with caution to protect ourselves, our families and communities. Please continue to keep an eye on our website and social media channels for updates on Council’s response to COVID-19 and refer to NSW Health for the latest health advice.
